It has been a long week. It probably seems that way to me because I have been awake for most of it. Double shifts at work, so and so forth. Last night I had the opportunity to be in bed on time, but of course I got distracted from the pasionate goal I had set for myself that morning at 5am "Im coming straight home after work, and I'm going to bed. I dont care about anything else, people of the world will know how tired I am!" I ended up going to my friend Pat's birthday celebration at this place called 'Rush Street'. We stopped frequenting the place since my friend Nicole was swankily pursued by the owner, some short middle aged man with a fake tan, and flowy pirate shirt. He looked like the kind of man who listens to new age music, and lives on a sailboat. Like the lovechild of Captain Ron and Tom Cruise in Cocktail. Anyways, there was a Beatles tribute band playing....karaoke. It was brilliant, although due to my sleep deprivation I was definitely out of it. My friend Jenna can sympothize, she wears contacts, but forgot to put them in, and just sat silently in her front row seat smiling like a cute disabled pet. When addressed via microphone by the guitar player if she was deaf, her glazed daze just looked past him into whatever blur was out there. Nevertheless, we dont let our disabilities get us down. It was fun.
